Our Story

We have been in in the same location for over 20 years and our floral designs grace many of the finest hotels, condominiums and offices in South Florida as well as many well known Palm Beach residences.

Hurricane Wilma decimated the local orchid nurseries in Broward and Palm Beach, leaving Elegant Orchids the last local full service orchid nursery A place for hobbyists as well as those looking for gorgeous long-lasting orchid arrangements

The proprietors are:

Lynn Lappin, an accomplished artist and alumnus of the Maryland Institute of Art. She is the artistic designer of all the orchid arrangements and the "eyes" of the place, she is also an accomplished landscaper.

Neal Locher, an artist in his own right.and teacher of Orchid Culture at the well known Morikami Museum for 5 years, Neal manages all aspects of our orchid growing and care.

What we do

We create beautiful gift baskets for truly one of a kind gifts, and we will make it up while you wait! We also specialize in plant leasing, it's the best way to enjoy the beauty of live plant orchid arrangements in your home, office or condo completely worry free, like a perpetually blooming orchid!

We have seasonal leasing and yearly leasing, both available with our total maintenance package as well as event leasing for weddings, Bat/Bar Mitzvah's, quinceañera's or any special event you may be having.

Boasting a large selection of interesting and unusual containers all our arrangements are unique and one of a kind. You can also bring us your own favorite container and let us create a masterpiece in it.

Our custom designs include Oriental, Traditional and Modern elements, always tailoring our designs to your needs. We create each arrangement to reflect the luminous beauty of the flowers in their natural environment and to enhance the rich color and beauty of these remarkable blooms, we combine them with native ferns, mosses, and exotic bromeliads.

The nursery and floral design studio are tucked away in a residential/agricultural area less then a mile north of Altantic Ave on Miliary Trail ( look for the Tire Kingdom ) adjacent to Greenbarn Orchid supply.

Our address is 5185 Conklin Drive. Parking lot entrance is located on 52^nd Ave or you can contact us at 561-496-5165. Delivery is available for additional charge within a local driving area.
